Are you longing for the "good old days" when the Wilpons were pinching every penny. The teams generally weren't burdened with high expectations, so there was no need to get too upset when they proved to be pretenders. Well, this year has been very disappointing, but I have far more faith that Cohen's ownership will improve the Mets than I did under the Wilpon regime.

Even in losing, i remain encouraged by Cohen. When talking about the potential for being sellers, he went out and volunteered that salaries were sunk costs and he would happily pay them off to get better prospects back - most owners would say fuck it i want my cash. As Mets fans, we really couldn't ask for a better owner.
