So excited were we by the (technical) re-acquisition of Chris Flexen that we never took the time to honor Zach Muckenhirn on the way out the figurative door. Unfortunate! Zach had the peculiar record of appearing in three games on behalf of the Mets cause — one each in Detroit, Washington, and Pittsburgh. So while he was once (and may yet again be, I pray) a New York Met, he was never a New York New York Met — never appearing in a game while rockin' the pinstripes, or even the Friday Night Black.
