Baseball-Reference of Late

Popup videos, usually with FanDuel content or the like, is making bb-r laggy and wonky of late, sometimes throwing my machine into a seizure. I realize free data isn't really free, but hey, I don't have all day.

Yeah , I noticed this a while ago. Its awful now with the pop-up ads and pop-up videos and then even more pop-ups after you remove the first wave of pop-ups.

Thats probably their strategy: bombard you with pop-ups until you pay them to make the ads go away.

I pay them, wish it was a couple of $$'s less though. Annoying that they tack on NYS Sales Tax in addition to monthly fee instead of just building it into a round number. I annoy easier as I age...

BB-Ref is practically unusable to me but that's only partially due to the ads and embedded stuff. The rest is because of my ancient home computer. Put 'em together and it's a bad recipe.

Adblock plus works like a champ on that site, for me. Might be worth a try.
