I can't imagine what is remotely controversial about starting a lefthanded batter against a righthanded pitcher, or alternating lefties and righties in the lineup.

The other issue in the Vogey/Vienty debate is the the Sawx pen is very LH-heavy so there's a Really good shot of Vientos getting at least one, and possibly more than one, meaningful AB before this game is over. So it would be very nice to Not treat this as an either/or, 100%/0% situation. I think I also heard that there's more than one game in this series too, but I'll have to check on that and get back to you.
