Winston was a high school conference

champion — in tennis.
Once, when participating in the long-jump, he

told the official that the sand pit looked too

short. He was told it was fine and to go ahead

and do his jump. He did as he was told,

cleared the pit on his first jump, and broke

his ankle. He was in seventh grade.

Riggins for the hair. Riggins is the player equivalent of Belicheck, in the sense that Jets really should have found a way to hold on to him while they had him.
