That is a pathetic looking line up. DJ Stewart is hitting clean up? With Narvaez in the 5 spot. Quintana best pitch a gem to have a chance of getting his first win.

Well, a different approach by Alonso would certainly be better than the alternative, which would be the Mets refusing to put runners on in front of him.

Mets opted not to pinch-hit a righty for Stewart, which I guess means Marte is on ice. The other option — pinch-hitting Álvarez and putting Nimmo in the outfield — was also apparently unpalatable.

A few random Thoughts on the Game!!!! Balls hit to 3B right now are essentially a coin flip as to whether or not they'll be turned into an out. At least this sweep, unlike the previous one, had the advantage of hurting the Yanx which is ... something.

Big ups to Quintana, who's doing the job he was hired to do by a team that no longer exists. He might be my favorite Met of the moment, though there isn't much competition.
