As outfields go, Nimmo-Locastro-McNeil is about a 250% improvement on Almonte-Ortega-Stewart, and for this, I am grateful. Whether Araúz and Mendick can cut it on the infield is more of an open matter, I think.

Oh, he can touch them. His performance against them at the MLB level has been anemic so far, but I wouldn't set that in stone.

Man, Hartywig was the wrong reliever and brought in a batter (or two) too late. But post-deadline Buck seems committed to choosing his relievers by schedule, more than by situation.

Didn't come to pass. I was going to put up a thread about it, but the Mets have had mostly bad outcomes with their designated speed guy the last few years.
