First time since the Tradepocalypse that I've looked at our lineup and processed the heretofore Quadruple-A types as Mets like the rest of the bunch.

So if that play at 2nd was ruled a tag after the base then it's no longer a force play and the run should count ... but as I'm typing they come back from commercial to show that Goldschmidt had yet to reach home.

Clarification on the Three Met Firsts: a closer examination of game logs indicates Seaver was the first *starter* to be part of such a trio. On April 13, 1967, in Tom's first game (ND), another threesome put up their Met firsts, with Jerry Buchek homering, Ron Taylor recording the save and Chuck Estrada getting his first (and only) Met win, in relief of Seaver. This addition underscores that when a Tom Seaver comes along, attention must be paid.
