Stop me if you've heard this one: Bottom 1st leadoff (gift) double is followed by the 2-3-4 hitters not getting the ball out of the infield. Mets get a gift, then give it back.

Koosman v Jenkins, both went the distance, Mets score 3 in bottom 9th to win it on a Kranepool single.

Was the most important series in club history to that point.

Vientos tweaked some'n' on the basepaths. Strangely, the Mets go with Araúz over Baty — defense over offense while playing from behind. But I guess Baty might pinch-hit before that turn in the lineup has a chance to come around.
