I'm with M's, the less sexy Orioles. Young stud pitching staff has Logan Gilbert, George Kirby and Bryce Miller to go with the ace, Luis Castillo. J-Rod is the most fun AL player not named Ohtani and their catcher is called the Big Dumper. Plus Jarred Kelenic kicked a water cooler and broke his foot FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT. Go Mariners.

Since the O's are taken and I don't like sloppy seconds (by now frantic fifths?) I'll revert to my long time admiration for the Twins, going back to the days of Carew, Killebrew, Allison and Oliva. The fact that they always seemed to gag against the MFYs tempered my enthusiasm for a while. But I still can root for them. Later

O's all the way. I was just at my first game at Camden Yards and saw the Mets get clobbered in the first game of that series (James McCann, grrr). Orioles fans sitting around us couldn't be nicer, plus it has been a really long time since the Orioles have even been in the World Series.

Even when the O's are losing, Oriole fans have always been, in my experience, majorly cool to out-of-town fans. Most would-be louts even tend to act cooler in response.

I've followed the Twins since having a wonderful time at Target Field. I've followed the White Sox since the Seaver years -- and some nice experiences at Comiskey. And I keep tabs on the Tigers because I have the high-A team in my backyard.
