11 games today -- so that makes 8 teams idle. Eight of the 11 are day games and even the night games all start between 6:10 and 6:40 local time.

I not only think every major league team should be playing, but I think it should be a double header (single admission, of course). How many more traditions are MLB going to ruin? Later

Didn't play on Memorial Day, and were away at Arizona on July 4th. A shitty holiday schedule all around.

Also, with so many teams in action who are ahead of the Mets in the standings, it gives them a chance to gain ground without breaking a sweat. San Francisco and the Cubs are already underway.
