IGT, 9/14, ARI@NYM, The Stoins Train Rolls On!

As the Arizona Diamondbacks were fighting to edge ahead of the pack in the playoff hunt, manager Torey Lovullo assured his team that they were facing a second-division club from the East. Little did he know that the Mets would be pulling a fast one, using two players who spent most of their seasons in the International League.

But that's who the Diamondbacks faced, and they quickly found there was little they could do with José Butto's change or Joey Lucchesi's churve. Can a fulltime Met do as well with his ghost fork? Kodai Senga seeks to answer that question tonight!

Game is regionally on MLB Network, maybe that's a factor.

Looks like the shadows are harder on the ump than on the hitters. That called strike three on Walker was kind of atrocious.

He got some shit in the last day or two for questioning them not holding Locastro in the ninth inning of Game One.

Senga may somehow be closer to the Cy Young than the Rookie of the Year Award, which kinda says something, though I'm not sure what.

The homerun power will come. I just don't want him to turn into a .215-hitting power hitter.

I tend to think we could have swept if we didn't pick relievers from the shallow end of the bullpen to hold a one-run lead in Game One.

But Buck never asks me what I think.

Because his first move was (rightly) back towards 1st in case the liner was snagged, which it almost was.

Plus there were no outs.

Met bats really lynched Merrill (Kelly) today.
