Titanes del Caribe

Want baseball in November at Citi Field? Sure, who doesn't! Yeah, it sounds like an exercise in hypothermia, but you can draw warmth from the fact that you're watching a game between two teams you have the slimmest of connections to!

What I'm talking about Titanes del Caribe! TdC is the three-game series scheduled for November 10–12 at Citi Field between Dominican Winter League giants (and arch-rivals!) Los Tigres del Licey and Las Águilas Cibaeñas.

Yes, we're talking about the two winningest teams in the history of the DWL!! And should you go, you will likely get to see one of those teams add an additional win to their storied total!!!

It was with Licey that Ronny Mauricio won the DWL MVP last season. Though more information is to come, I frankly amn't sure which Mets-affiliated players are playing for these two ... "Titanes," but ... probably somebody!!

Also $40 plus fees for promenade, I don't think so

Baseball in mid November between two winter league teams? They should open the parking lot for free, sell seats for $5, and pray for beer sales.

At least the fans will be used to the cold. The poor players…

We paid it this past August. I found it funny that I was able to secure three upper deck seats for a weekday matinee for $22 total, including fees, but it cost nearly twice that to park. I asked the attendant, too - "wasn't it just $20 super recently?" My response was "Yep, last year in fact," offered up in a tone suggesting that this exchange had been repeated many times over the course of the summer.
