Also some James Parkes action. There was a story I read a few years back about this Connecticut high school kid who was Seaver's catcher as he started secretly trying to work his way back onto the field. Not a lot of high school boys have a talent for big secrets.

Considering my first thought was Cohen, not Carter, in a sentence involving Howie and Keith…maybe the year should have been put in the lede ;)
