IGT - 5/12/06 - Mets @ Milwaukee-Lima tries to stay perfect
Rockin' Doc May 12 2006 06:44 PM |
It's Lima time. Time for the Mets line up to take out their frustration after last night's defeat on Brewers starter Dave Bush.

Anyone know weather conditions there? Yesterday forecast said 100% chance of rain in Mil. (weather chnl)
DocTee May 12 2006 07:01 PM |
Seeing how they play in a dome, this shouldn't affect the game.
Zvon May 12 2006 07:11 PM |
Duh. Im not very dome aware.
KC May 12 2006 07:16 PM |
For some reason, I kinda forgot they had that cool roof thingy too ...
Zvon May 12 2006 07:29 PM |

I think this is the first time I ever watched a game played at Miller Park. (Thanks MLB Extra Innings. When I relied on ESPN and Fox for my Mets games, they never telecast Mets-Brewers.) The quality of the light seems odd. The roof is closed, so it's artificial lighting, but something about it looks strange.

Nymr83 May 12 2006 08:43 PM |
wheres the igt enthusiasm tonight???

DocTee May 12 2006 08:45 PM |

Nymr83 May 12 2006 08:55 PM |

Nymr83 May 12 2006 08:56 PM |
fuck floyd called out on strikes.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 09:06 PM |
I'l say this for Lima --- it feels like a while since anybody --- Pedro even --- has been able to let his character hang out like this. A taste of the Valentine era.
Nymr83 May 12 2006 09:13 PM |
Edgy, are you implying that shenanigans went on on Valentine's watch?
seawolf17 May 12 2006 09:14 PM |
I'll second that; I logged on here just to make that remark.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 09:16 PM |
Shenanigans, no. Wierdos stylin' on the mound, yup.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 09:19 PM |
The character just gave up a Celilian homer to Prince.
Nymr83 May 12 2006 09:22 PM |
This was a close second, the best homerun i've seen still remains the Mo Vaughn shot off of the budweiser sign on the Shea scoreboard, though McGwire hitting his own number on the board was nice too, and probably more impressive since he was a righty.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 09:35 PM |
Settle down Lima.
TheOldMole May 12 2006 09:38 PM |
That's why it matters to hit the cutoff man.
Nymr83 May 12 2006 09:38 PM |
turning point of the game right here, its bases loaded 2 outs...
seawolf17 May 12 2006 09:40 PM |
THROW A FUCKING STRIKE.
TheOldMole May 12 2006 09:40 PM |
That's bad.
seawolf17 May 12 2006 09:40 PM |
NOT THAT GOOD A STRIKE.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 09:41 PM |
Baddie.
Nymr83 May 12 2006 09:42 PM |
so much for lima-time, its 4-3 brewers on a bases clearing double.
metirish May 12 2006 09:44 PM |
Things are turing to shit in a hurry.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 09:49 PM |
Willie may have ridden him a little too long trying to get him his five innings to qualify for a victoire.
seawolf17 May 12 2006 09:52 PM |
If Jose Lima gets another start, I'm going to kick Willie Randolph in the victoire.
The Big O May 12 2006 09:53 PM |
I need a hug.
seawolf17 May 12 2006 09:56 PM |
Why do you let this fricking moron (Jose Valentin) hit? Get him off the frigging roster NOW. NOW NOW NOW. Check him out of the hotel, set fire to his uniform, GET RID OF HIM.
seawolf17 May 12 2006 09:57 PM |
Thanks, Dave Bush. Go 3-1 on Valentin so you can throw two strikes and crush all our hopes and dreams.
Nymr83 May 12 2006 09:59 PM |
there is no way valentin should have batted with runners on, do we want to get back into this game or what?
smg58 May 12 2006 10:00 PM |
That inning couldn't end soon enough.
Zvon May 12 2006 10:08 PM |
wha happened?
Zvon May 12 2006 10:18 PM |
well, i read the thread and that coupled with Yahoo gamecenter play by play pretty much fills me in.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 10:20 PM |
Way too much acrobatics going on here.
Rockin' Doc May 12 2006 10:22 PM |
Can't wait for Bannister to get back.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 10:22 PM |
Everything hit hard that inning.

Not good outside of the circus.
Whats the word on that? I read conflicting reports in the NY Post. I know they said he's not ready for the mound yet.
metirish May 12 2006 10:26 PM |
Ok I am now starting to worry about Cliff Floyd.......does he miss Cameron more than I thought he would?.......Piza had 4 hits today and the Padres have won 12 of 13......holy shit.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 10:40 PM |
I enjoy seeing Kaz pull this guy. Just get it fair, man.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 10:42 PM |
Knocks it the other way off the handles, and he has an eight-game hitting streak.
Rockin' Doc May 12 2006 10:43 PM |
Great at bat for Matsui. Singles to left field.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 10:45 PM |
Damn, Nady.

Gwreck May 12 2006 11:00 PM |
Reyes walks to start the 9th. RALLY TIME!
Zvon May 12 2006 11:01 PM |

metirish May 12 2006 11:02 PM |
A bad start it looks like to a tough trip....

Edgy DC May 12 2006 11:06 PM |
Mets just made it a serve situation. Does Turnbow get in with a bobblehead?
Gwreck May 12 2006 11:08 PM |
C'mon Kaz!!
Edgy DC May 12 2006 11:08 PM |
Yup.

Zvon May 12 2006 11:09 PM |

Zvon May 12 2006 11:12 PM |
Damn--Turnbow meant bidness.
Edgy DC May 12 2006 11:12 PM |
Boo. Save by Turnbow.
Rockin' Doc May 12 2006 11:16 PM |
I suck at starting IGT. Of course, it was a Lima start so my odds of getting a win were greatly diminished.
Zvon May 12 2006 11:17 PM |
so-does Lima get another start?
Edgy DC May 12 2006 11:19 PM |
Probably no time to deal unless the right thing is hanging out there.
TransMonk May 12 2006 11:19 PM |
I hate the Brewers. Just got done watching the game at a bar full of Brewer fans. Really, I was just asking for it.
Zvon May 12 2006 11:20 PM |
...does our ass in the wind qualify ;)
Edgy DC May 12 2006 11:22 PM |
It probably isn't in the wind.
Rotblatt May 12 2006 11:22 PM |

Nymr83 May 12 2006 11:26 PM |
who is startung tommorow's IGT? we need some good luck with jeremi gonzalez going, anyone willing to take THAT hit on their record?
metirish May 13 2006 12:09 AM |
Greck has to take that IGT, he has a crazy record, we need all the help we can get, Mets are losing while Phillie and the Braves are winning...

SteveJRogers May 13 2006 12:53 AM |

I'll start one right now!
Willets Point May 15 2006 02:22 PM |
I watched this game from behind home plate. I have to watch the game on MLB.TV and see if I can see me. Oddly there were a ton of other Mets fans in the seats around me.
Bret Sabermetric May 15 2006 02:24 PM |
What a friggin' nightmare!
Willets Point May 15 2006 02:37 PM |
Well I had my room to myself at least. Just one Mets fan there. And I didn't have nightmares despite all the Wisconsin beer and cheese I consumed.
Willets Point May 15 2006 02:52 PM |
One more thing, there was a foul pop up that I believe Carlos Lee went after but didn't get to it because the tarp tripped him up. Which begs the question: Miller Park has a retractable roof (closed the entire weekend), why do they even have a tarp?
Edgy DC May 15 2006 03:12 PM |
Rules.
metirish May 15 2006 03:13 PM |
Does the roof still have those leaks, remember when the Mets palyed there a few years ago and the damn roof was leaking like crazy, maybe that's why they have the tarp.
Willets Point May 15 2006 04:15 PM |
Good point. I was trying to make the point to the guys next to me that if a sudden storm came up they may need the tarp because it takes 10 minutes for the roof to close. I didn't even think of the roof not being able to close.
