|
Gwreck May 13 2006 01:32 AM |
Easy now. I have no doubt that Steve will be bringing us a win tomorrow. I hope he knows what he's getting himself into though, as he's going to be starting the IGTs for a while.

On the pre-game, Ed Coleman says that Floyd will probably get tomorrow off too. Here's hoping that Woodward gets that start and not Valentin again.
|
DocTee May 13 2006 06:56 PM |
Here's hoping that Valentin's start is to showcase his versatility--and more importantly, his marketability.
|
Centerfield May 13 2006 07:08 PM |
Why is Floyd getting 2 days off in a row?
|
GYC May 13 2006 07:24 PM |
Where is the respect for Endy Chavez?
|
Gwreck May 13 2006 07:25 PM |
|
Starter's a lefty, and so is Chavez. Floyd getting the 2 days off, plus the off day Monday so he can rest, stop worrying about his swing timing, and hopefully start hitting again. (supposedly)

GYC May 13 2006 07:31 PM |
Are we allowed to have picture sigs? I haven't seen anyone else do it. I don't want to lag the board, either.
|
GYC May 13 2006 07:38 PM |

I just got home and have watched the replay of the Koskie homer a few times and I'm wondering why didn't Beltran jump for that one? Look like he could've had it fairly easily for him.

Zvon May 14 2006 02:30 PM |

agreed. Sometimes he's just too cool. he dont look too cool there tho^,lol.

Sat in the right field bleachers for this game. A lot more fun out there with some very enthusiastic Brewers fans. Actually I was impressed by the Milwaukee fans who seem very attentive to the game (I think I've been to too many games at Fenway in recent years with all the yuppies who drive up ticket prices so they can talk on their cellphones, bounce beach balls and sing "Sweet Caroline" but not really watch the game). The area is called Jenkins Jungle so there were guys with inflatable monkeys and parrots for the jungle effect. The game was sold out and the atmosphere was electric almost like a playoff game. Of course part of the attraction was Derrick Turnbow bobblehead night. I've never even heard of Turnbow before but he's very popular in Milwaukee I think mostly for his long hippie hair. The dolls actually had real hair and Turnbow said it looked better than his own hair in a pre-game interview. Of course, Turnbow lost the game so MLB teams should take note that it's bad luck to have a player appear in a game on his own bobblehead day.

Another fun fact about this game: all 9 players in the Mets starting lineup scored one run each.
