Indeed, a very interesting matchup. "The Immigrant Song" vs. "Foxy Lady" -- Jimi "Since I've Been Lovin' You" vs. "Purple Haze" -- Jimi, no question. "Whole Lotta Love" vs. "Voodoo Child" -- Led Zeppelin, easily their best song. "Misty Mountain Hop" vs. "Are You Experienced?" -- Jimi "Boogie with Stu" vs. "Hey Joe" -- Jimi "Houses of The Holy" vs. "All Along the Watchtower" -- Jimi. Greatest cover song of all time? Quite possibly. "Black Dog" vs. "(Let Me Stand Next to Your) Fire" -- Led Zeppelin "Rock n' Roll" vs. "Sunshine of Your Love" -- Sorry, this song does not make me want to drive a Cadillac. Sexual Superhero Swaggering can turn me off. See my votes against many Doors songs, and a few Zep songs above. At least Prince can be funny, and occasionally self-mocking, when he tries to drop his pants and blow the ladies away with his mojo. But don't look at as a vote against, but rather a vote for.
