Okay, so I was a devoted fan of the British version, and the only thing that made me even tentatively hopeful about the american version was that Steve Carrell was the boss.

Then I saw the pilot. Man, did it suck. Same exact plot line as the BBC pilot, many of the same jokes, and none of the appeal.

Anyway, I tuned out then back in for the end of the season, and somewhat to my suprise got really into it. A very different feel from the BBC, but solid television all around.

All this to say that the Season 2 finale was last night, and wow. The last two episodes, actually, pretty much rocked. Gives me high hopes for Season 3, although I'm curious as to where they're headed.

Anyone else a fan of the series or catch the last episode?

I only ever saw the BBC version when I was in Ireland, so maybe 3 or 4 times total, I watch the American version and like it , wouldn't say I'm a devoted fan or anything but it's a laugh.

I dig the US version, having never seen the original. Hated it at first, but once the characters developed, it really started to shine. Steve Carell is great; the guy who plays Dwight is hysterical. Plus, Pam is hot.
