New users currently have to be turned on when they sign-up because of
a rash of spam users enrolling to hawk their goods. I'll try and post here
when someone gets activated going forward.

JerseySlim - welcome aboard!

(any one having user issues, please email us at cranepoolforum@gmail.com -
all of the admins have access to this email and generally you should get a res-
ponse with 24 hours)

Thanks and enjoy.

He's concerned, I imagine, that new poseres aren't reading "Welcome A-Bordick!" and all its varient spellings not as warm greeting with a Metly spin, but rather as a coded version of "Welcome aboard, dick!"

TheOldMole

Welcome a-Bordick would make more sense, anyway, if we were an Orioles site.

Yeah, they might have a headache that night.

I was doing some messing around with the memeberlist and going over
inactive people who have registered and turned them all back on. I know
I personally activated about 3/4 of this list at one time or another but they
should be able to post now if they want to.

Sorry, there's some weird stuff that goes on with the member sign-up
process - and as Edgy says I know I delete about 6-12 auto registers per
day most days and if he's deleting you can see how that adds up.

The following are the newly activated names (forgive typos, I just jotted
'em down on a piece of paper as going through them):

Marty
metsfan4eva
gmet
LayDownTheBunt
JustBec
Mendoza Line
Robin 19

Kinda hard to make demands when registering makes the board easier to

Our ratio of real people to spam accounts is pretty darn low, isn't it? In the last couple of months, I can only think of two new actual posters: Mr. Zero and Michigan Guy. (Isn't the Michigan Guy the man who looks like he's made of a pile of white tires? But I digress...)

I've signed up to every board and list I could find for baseball teams, mostly for reading pleasure

Then again I've barely seen them on the bottom of the screen as being logged in

Of course here you can be logged out and still read everything except most of the html coded stuff like tables and linked images and articles

Try it with the roster thread, huge posts of nothing but the code for putting up tables and cells!

Crunchy Frog in fact is "only the finest baby frogs, dew picked and flown from Iraq, cleansed in finest quality spring water, lightly killed, and then sealed in a succulent Swiss quintuple smooth treble cream milk chocolate envelope and lovingly frosted with glucose." It's all a stupidly hopeless loop of mechanically induced time wasting.

It's dumb enough to advertise here to buy limp dick medicine and pollute
every forum you can find with it just by writing some kind of program. But
now, it seems to me, that the registrants who don't even put links to annoy -
put stuff with high google ratings based on today's forum content. Daytona
and Vista are two occurences today. Just dumb, only the admins can see
the email addresses.

I don't mind deleting the nonsense, but I really don't see the point and I'd
love to know who thinks they're getting somewhere by doing it.
