I've seen more than enough Lima time. It's time for the Mets to cut their loses (literally) and set Lima free. He's not just bad, he's embarrassing.
Valentin got a start at second base and continued his surprisingly hot hitting of late. Beltran hit a two run home run in the fourth inning, but it wasn't enough on a day when the Mets had Lima throwing batting practice.
Since the Mets started a Caribbean lemon on the mound, it seems only fitting that today's game was sponsored by Buccoo Bay Lemon Lager. So drink up Mets' fans and try to erase the memory of Lima in a Mets uniform from your memory.
