Nymr83 May 26 2006 07:53 PM |
In their own home the Marlins fans just tried to get a lets go marlins chant going... they were drowned out by met fans booing them!!

Pedro made a big leaguer out of Jacobs last year.

Strange looking catch by Nady to end the inning.
|
Edgy DC May 26 2006 07:58 PM |
Strange catch by Nady.
|
cooby May 26 2006 08:02 PM |
Two people describe a catch as strange and dont describe the catch? Come on, how about a little more detail of this strange catch
|
Edgy DC May 26 2006 08:06 PM Edited 1 time(s), most recently on May 26 2006 08:09 PM |
He stood with his left hip facing the infield --- even though he seemingly had time to square himself --- and reached down and backhanded it at shin level.
|
metirish May 26 2006 08:07 PM |
I'll let Edgy describe the strange catch, Pedro is in a groove tonight. this Johnson kid can pitch too.
|
Johnny Dickshot May 26 2006 08:11 PM |
Pedro just destroyed those first two batters last inning.
|
Gwreck May 26 2006 08:18 PM |
Pedro has given up a homer in all but 2 of his starts this year, 9 HR total now given up this year. Ouch.
|
metirish May 26 2006 08:19 PM |

Derek Jeter's got his 2, 000th career hit, and he got it like the winner he is... in a losing effort to the Royals.

Edgy DC May 26 2006 08:55 PM |

I'll bet Harry never tripped going up or down stairs in those glasses.

Washington the Warrior looks endearingly hokey.
|
Gwreck May 26 2006 09:17 PM |
They may not lead the league in wins, but I'm pretty sure the Marlins lead the league in crooked-hat mugshots:
|
Gwreck May 26 2006 09:25 PM |
Good job by Pedro minimizing damage after the 3 singles to start the 7th but we need HITS and RUNS. Rally!
|
Edgy DC May 26 2006 09:30 PM |
Time has come today!
|
Willets Point May 26 2006 09:31 PM |
Jeez Kaz, even I wouldn't swing at that.
|
Edgy DC May 26 2006 09:32 PM |
I've got to format my rally songs faster.
|
Johnny Dickshot May 26 2006 09:41 PM |
Nothing has been more depressing this season than the results of Pedro's last 5 starts:
|
Gwreck May 26 2006 09:43 PM |
Duaner, WTF?
|
Edgy DC May 26 2006 09:45 PM |

Edgy DC May 26 2006 09:47 PM |
Well, Lo Duca made a TPaHP. Small mercies.
|
Willets Point May 26 2006 09:49 PM |
Fielder pulled off the bag ... hit bouncing off second base ... pitcher neglecting to pick up the ball ... what odd quirk of futility will happen next?
|
Willets Point May 26 2006 09:50 PM |
Great. After watching that inning I have to watch the aorta.
|
Edgy DC May 26 2006 09:53 PM |
Florida walks the leadoff guy (like we do). Payback, I summon thee.
|
Willets Point May 26 2006 09:53 PM |
It's nice for the Mets to have a leadoff walk for a change.
|
cooby May 26 2006 09:54 PM |
Edgy, I think your rally songs are bad luck!
|
Willets Point May 26 2006 09:59 PM |
The word is spreading among major league managers: start your rookie pitchers against the Mets!

The Mets have once again come out flat against a rookie pitcher. Their professional scouting staff should be addressed.

A Benedict Arnold so to speak?
|
Edgy DC May 26 2006 10:09 PM |
I'm more than happy to turn rally songs over to somebody else or nobody else.

You've been hot.

Oh I think Harry tripped A LOT walking up stairs, down stairs, and on flat ground. He was known to drink his dinner more than occasionally.
And speaking of Harry's old team ... man they suck! Not only did they lose after taking a no-no into the 7th, but they let 2 runs in on bases-loaded walks, and then 2 more (the winning runs in fact) on a single Sac Fly!! Meanwhile ... we suck too - that was Fugly!!!!

Zvon May 27 2006 02:09 AM |
Your rally song was one of my favs and the best Edge.
