For sex. You know the high school "I got to second base with her!" A home run is obviously sex, but I've never seen much agreement on what the other bases are. So what were 1st, 2nd & 3rd at your high school?

If things haven't changed, and I doubt they have. First base means a kiss, presumably on the lips, and presumably with some intimacy, in terms of moisture and duration. But, if braggin is what you're about, anything on the lips, wet or dry, brief or extended, gets you technical credit. Second base is petting above the waste. Third base is petting below the waste. A homerun is classic intercourse. Have you occasion to check this stuff out. Is somebody bragging about last night's date with the new chick in acquisitions?

First base - Making out, french kissing Second base - Groping, heavy petting, touching privates Third base - Oral sex Homerun - Having sexual intercourse "Getting Up to the Plate" is your first date or getting to know each other. "First Base" is kissing (french kissing/heavy) "Second Base" is heavy petting and genital groping "Third Base" is orgasm (non intercourse), or all clothes on the floor "Home Plate/Home Run" is full on intercourse and everything else "Grand Slam" is a home run with runners on base -- sex with multiple partners "Bunt" is sacrificing your happiness for your friends "Steal a base" is getting to the next base without consent (warning: you can get thrown out while attempting to steal) "Strike out" you never make it to 1st base, take a seat.

Headline on the Boston Phoenix says "Oral, the new second base". At different times I've heard the bases given various atrributions of hand-holding, kissing, tongue kissing, petting, mutual masturbation, dry humping and oral sex which makes for 7 bases if we accept them all. And if you have group sex with three other people is that a grand slam? OE: Metirish answers my last question before I even ask it. Maybe the "bases" euphemism needs to go in the Things that Need to Be Standardized thread.
