I didn't see the entirety of that thread, but looking just at cleon's post (and assuming Bret wasn't kidding around)...he has a point. And I never agree with cleon on anything.

Well, the whole "slightly less informative" part of the line sort of reeked of sarcasm. Kinda seemed like a way of saying "Neither Omar nor anyone on this forum ever says anything useful." My apologies if I misjudged. Edit: The question is: Did I misjudge?

I guess it can be read as a backhanded compliment, but I don't think that's how Bret intended it. Regardless it was benign and not worthy of cleon's well-thought-out prose.

Of course you did. I wasn't elevating you guys above dinner with Jesus and Socrates, but you were being placed above Omar, FWIW.
