Nice sentiment. (Nice hatchet, too.) But this ain't happening without the cooperation of your little passive-aggressive friend, and I think it would be too humiliating for him to as much as acknowledge that I exist after pretending otherwise for several years, much less to make the minimal acknowledgments I would need (for starters, that I wasn't entertaining myself by "loudly saying hostile things that are clearly untrue when measured by any sound elementary logic" in July of 2004, but just assessing Piazza's future with pretty good accuracy). He'd prefer (I'm guessing) to drink out of the toilet bowl for a month than even consider that, so you might want to work on it from his end first. You know I'm a reasonable and level-headed fellow, so once you've gotten him to see that he'll need to acknowledge that I exist, and then some, you get back to me, okay? I'll wait.

I got that. I'm acknowledging that your little passive-aggressive pal exists. He's still on "Bret who?" IOW, I think it's been his move for the last few years now.
