Reyes - SS
LoDuca - C
Delgado - 1B
Wright - 3B
Floyd - LF
Valentin - 2B
Chavez - CF
Milledge - RF
OHernandez - P

Don't know if this means that Beltran's on the shelf for the day or just taking advantage of the extra couple hours to rest.

Giants
Randy Winn RF
Omar VIzquel SS
Steve Finley CF
Barry Bonds LF
Ray Durham 2B
Lance Niekro 1B
Pedro Feliz 3B
Eliezer Alfonzo C
Matt Cain P

It was very strange to see "E. Alfonzo C" in the lineup.

The gamecenter at my fantasy league says game time is 4:50. Is the first game rained out?

Well, according to Rose, nothing yet, but they're rolling the tarp back over the infield.

Yeah, I guess that wouldn't make much sense, now that I think about it

GYC
Jun 03 2006 01:35 PM

Well, they never rolled it up, and they're standing there all with the tarp in hands, waiting for directions to put in on IF or roll it up. They've been standing there for nearly 15 minutes, actually.

I agree.
Hope they get in at least one.

TheOldMole

Anything official yet?

Frayed Knot
Jun 03 2006 02:43 PM

Yeah, it's officially raining REAL FUCKIN' HARD!!!!

They're going to do wait forever to get this started - even if it only means one game today - so I'll be surprised if they call it anytime soon.

TheOldMole
Jun 03 2006 03:07 PM

It's virtually stopped up here.

TheOldMole
Jun 03 2006 03:32 PM

That's "Up here, it's virtually stopped," not "Here, it's virtually stopped up."

GYC

4:00 start according to Somers on WFAN.

Gwreck

Lineup change for the Mets:

Is this another administrative person at Shea like Sarah?

The Mets shouldn't have taken Thursday off. You stop playing baseball and you may not be able to start again.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 03 2006 04:13 PM

According to mets.com it's 1-0 Giants going to the bottom of the first.

I'm typically blacked out.

MFS62

An RBI double by Finley in the first. That bastard will continue to be a pain in the ERA to Met pitching when he's 100 years old.

Lou Pinellia is fucking annoying...

Edgy DC
Jun 03 2006 04:48 PM

Milledge almost air-mailed a throw into Barry Bonds on deck as run number two scored.``

ScarletKnight41
Jun 03 2006 04:56 PM

Piniella is a moron.

Edgy DC
Jun 03 2006 04:57 PM

Rounding second and heading for third is a brown-eyed handsome man.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 03 2006 04:59 PM

And said brown eyed man scores from third on Chavez's ground out.

2-1 Giants in the third.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 03 2006 05:12 PM

Cliffy doubles in Mr. Wright to tie the game. 2-2 in the 4th.

In game announcement....Pujols leaves his game with an oblique strain.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 03 2006 05:19 PM

Floyd scores on a wild pitch! 3-2 good guys :)

Edgy DC
Jun 03 2006 05:21 PM

Lastings Milledge batting .100.

Get onto the interstate NOW!!!!

ScarletKnight41
Jun 03 2006 05:38 PM

Mr. Wright drives in Reyes to make it 4-2.

I love that boy.

Wright's hit was a ground single between first and second.

Edit: I'm Big Mac.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 03 2006 05:50 PM

Crap - a 3-run 6th inning gives the Giants a 5-4 lead :(

Gwreck
Jun 03 2006 05:53 PM

They should eject fans for tying to grab balls in play.

(A fan was trying to grab the ball rolling down the line that Cliff was trying to pick up.)

Elster88
Jun 03 2006 05:54 PM

I think they do.

Elster88
Jun 03 2006 05:57 PM

Is it me, or are the Mets just not hitting these days?

Gwreck
Jun 03 2006 07:02 PM

After the Giants retire something like 10 in a row, Benitez walks Jose Valentin to start the 9th.

Castro strikes out.

Beltran -- clearly, he's available -- pinch-hits for Milledge.

Gwreck
Jun 03 2006 07:09 PM

Beltran walks to put the tying run on first.

Old Man River (rather than LoDuca) hitting for the pitcher.

Centerfield
Jun 03 2006 07:42 PM

Milledge looking overmatched by big league pitching early on.
