Just a note- On that groundout by Beltran- you see him slow down the last few steps? A player like Chase Utley would have turned it on those last few. Chavez wouldve---probly even Wright. I dont understand why a player would ever slow down before a putout is made. Only a pitcher should be able to get away with that.

Bonds cut it off in fairly deep left-center, but then stumbled a couple of steps before throwing it in. The relay from Vizquel was fairly close but Wright beat it pretty easily.

Went to the game today. Lenny and teammates went out on the warning track for a ceremony prior to the game. I now have a 6-game losing streak at Shea: 2 this year, 3 last year, the final game in '04. I suck. The game, however, was a lotta fun. One other thing: Reyes led off an inning 6 times (Trachsel made 3 final outs, Franco and Floyd each made one pinchhitting). Is that some kind of record I wonder?

The soupcans were at this game as well - apologies to all in attendance for consuming all the cotton candy in the stadium. Apparantly my younger son was scared of the large Asian man taking our picture.
