Mets fail to sign Pedro Beato, formerly of Xavierian HS and a possible top ten pitching prospect. Very good sinker in the 89-91 range, hard slider, decent change. Mets were offering 750K, Beato wanted 1.4 mil. A little annoying although this kinda stuff happens all the time.
