Going to stay in a vacation home in the White Mts. for a week starting on Saturday. Cannot wait.

Off to St. Louis later in the summer to check out the new stadium there.

Did you expect anything else from me?

"Teaching" aboard the Training Ship Golden Bear-- with stops in Zihautanejo/Ixtapa, Callao/Lima, Valparaiso, and Golfito, Costa Rica.

8 weeks without baseball-- and without the kids... :(

Doc - I spent my college years working aboard ships during the summer. Valparaiso is very nice, Callao not so much but you can get to Lima pretty easily. Have fun.

Prolly going to California for a family reunion in early July, going to Minnesota for a wedding -- not all that special.

working. Just started a new job 2 months ago, so all of the summer vacation times were already taken.

I might try and squeeze a weekend of Mets-Nats in DC out of it in August though.

Going to California for a family thing this Friday. Coming back late Monday. Leaving Wednesday for a few days at the beach.

I've mentioned it in the Schaefer discussion thread, but I guess this is the spot to make it official.

We'll be leaving for Alaska on Friday afternoon, returning in the early morning on July 11. (With the time zone differences, returning from Alaska is a lot like flying to Europe from the East Coast.)

Gonna be in Anchorage and Denali National Park. Also scheduled is a day cruise on the Prince William Sound. We expect to see glaciers calving and hope to see whales.

Also going to the annual Moose Poop Festival in Talkeetna, AK.

The Diamond Knights are currently in St. Louis - D-Dad and I are back up to having seen baseball at every Major League park :)

I won't be online much these next few days, but I'll be scoreboard watching and otherwise enjoying baseball.

I'm not really taking a vacation this summer, other than a few long weekends here and there.

I am, however, spending a week in Maui in October for a friend's wedding. The timing also corresponds with our anniversary (3 years!) so it should be a good time for all.

Leaving today for a week in the country. Looks like Mr. Met, Jr. is coming.

Make your own damn rock god matchup grids.

Cool, Edgy's leaving! Now we can jump on the furniture with our sneakers
on for a week.

(have fun)

Leaving Sunday for Cape Cod (Lenny has been going for years with another family, this year I get to drive him there and spend a few days). Drive back on Wednesday and then fly off (liquid free) to Minnesota for a wedding.

Spending five relaxing days with the family on Ocracoke Island. Just enjoying the sun and surf in this small hamlet that seems to have refused the encroachment of modern corporate America. A vacation in Ocracoke is like stepping back in time. I almost expect to see Sheriff Andy or his Deputy Barney patrolling the streets and warning kids to not ride their bikes on the sidewalks. Only, they don't bother with sidewalks here. This is a stroll back in time where every store is a family business and corporate nameplates are only seen on television ads.

I will be posting POTG polls in the near future. Sorry for any inconveniance caused by the delays.

Catch you again soon.

Ocracoke is beautiful. I've only been there for daytrips. Have a great time.
