Like her? Hate her? Couldn't care less? How well do you think she'll make the transformation from perky morning anchor to prime time hard news anchor? Whaddaya' ya' think about her? Later

I don't think about her much, but I'm slightly on the "I like her" side of "I don't care." I rarely see her on Today and I'll probably see her even less on the CBS Evening News. I have no reason to wish her ill, so I guess I hope she does well at CBS. I haven't watched network evening news, since, well, never.

Not only do I not watch morning "news" programs (I doubt I've watched 30 minutes of "Today" in my entire life) but this whole concept of TV news host/anchor/reader as 'entertainment star' has always been lost on me. They're reading stuff on papers and prompters that they may or may not have had a hand in writing. Personally I'll start feeling sorry for the news divisions of TV networks claims of trying to do journalistic work under tight budget constraints just as soon as they stop paying their people like rock stars.
