After a promising start in his first major league appearance, Soler turned into a pumpkin in his second outing. The Diamondbacks battered Soler for 7 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings of work. Darren Oliver pitched 4 innings of shut out relief, but the Mets offense couldn’t break through against Arizona’s starter, Miguel Batista.
