Pedro Martinez and Brandon Webb locked up in a classic pitchers duel at Shea. The bullpens for both teams continued the dominant pitching until the bottom of the 13th inning, when Jose Valentin and Endy Chavez combined to put an end to the game. Valentin led off the 13th inning with a double and advanced to third on a ground out by Ramon Castro. Endy Chavez delivered the game winning hit when his drive fell into the gap in right centerfield for a Mets 8th walk off victory of the season. JW Dundee Honey Brown Lager goes down smooth and has a sweet finish, so it is the perfect sponsor for this game.
