If I didn't edit out my sarcastic rant about how bad manager the Mets have
I would have beat you by two minutes.

Gwreck
Jun 09 2006 09:03 PM

Yeah, but it was only close because I chose to mess around with the color options. :)

In all seriousness, you can delete this one as superflous, but howsabout that rant?

Roof is open at Bank One. Strange.

Delgado's homer makes it 5-1 Mets!

Gwreck

I'm running outta kaboom images here.

Carlos Delgado!

its gotten quiet in here...

ScarletKnight41
Jun 09 2006 10:51 PM

Crap - Delgado can't handle the bad hop, and it's ow a 5-2 game with the tying run at the plate for Arizona :(

Gwreck
Jun 09 2006 10:56 PM

Ok, Delgado couldn't handle it, but that's totally Trachsel's fault.

You're up 5-1, there are 2 outs with nobody on base. The backup catcher and his .233 average are batting 8th...and you can't throw a single strike? You need to challenge hitters in these situations, dammit.

OE: Mel Rojas is the 392nd greatest Met of all-time? Seriously?

ScarletKnight41
Jun 09 2006 11:02 PM

I said it before and I'll say it again -

Mr. Wright's 2-out RBI single gets back last inning's run and makes it a 6-2 Mets lead.

Nymr83
Jun 09 2006 11:03 PM

]OE: Mel Rojas is the 392nd greatest Met of all-time? Seriously?

IMO he's the worst Met of all-time.

Rockin' Doc

Valentin walks. Bases are full for N-D. Time to break this game open like a pinata.

Nah, can't be. Even if we look to this year -- Jose Lima hasn't ever helped the Mets, ever, in any way. Rojas at least had *some* good outings here and there.

But as for relievers who have >75 IP for the Mets, I'd suspect he's in the top-10 worst.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 09 2006 11:09 PM

Endy's sac fly brings home Beltran. 7-2 in the middle of the 5th.

Seriously.

But again, it's not about greatest, but most accomplished.

the health department is killing me with these ads, first the aorta-goo, and now the throat-hole guy. i could use more cheery dunkin donuts songs.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 09 2006 11:13 PM

The voice box guy gets two commercials? One was more than enough.

Nymr83
Jun 09 2006 11:17 PM

if it helps convince a few kids not to smoke its worthwhile. they don't crack down on that nearly enough.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 09 2006 11:23 PM

A commercial without such a high Ick factor would probably be more influential than the voice box guy.

Trax works out of a jam unscathed. 7-2 Mets after 5.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 09 2006 11:38 PM

Trax gives up a homer to make it 7-3. 1 out, 1 on, and Feliciano warming up in the pen.

Gwreck
Jun 09 2006 11:44 PM

Feliciano on to try to bail out Trachsel's mess.

ScarletKnight41
Jun 09 2006 11:48 PM

Shit! He's not doing a good job of bailing. It's 7-5 now.

Edgy DC
Jun 09 2006 11:48 PM

Oops, Carlos.

Not a good time to overrun.

Gwreck
Jun 09 2006 11:50 PM

Walks and errors kill. That was a really ugly inning.

Rockin' Doc
Jun 09 2006 11:51 PM

Sac fly scores another Snake. Arizona cuts into the Mets lead. Feliciano needs to put an end to this right now. Damn, another hit and the Mets lead is trimmed to 7-5. Shawn Green grounds out to finally end the inning.

Gwreck
Jun 09 2006 11:52 PM

5.1 IP, 3 ER, 8 H, 2 K, 6 BB isn't really anything to write home about. Another sub-par outing for Steve is concerning.

There is a reason Rich Rodriguez was nicknamed "Rich Rojas"

I'll agree with that. He's all fouled up. He needs to rediscover his inner Trachsel.

Edgy DC
Jun 10 2006 12:29 AM

I'm 'xausted. I don't know how I can stay up for another inning.

I'll stay up.

I tried something different tonight and slept through the first few innings.

Frayed Knot

No pitchers are coming out of tonight's game with any glory - even as Duaner dances out from between those non-existant Arizona raindrops (of his own making).

Delgado writes in his notebook: "Memo to self: Maybe I should play in Arizona."

Nymr83
Jun 10 2006 12:38 AM

the ball is flying out of that park...they should keep the roof closed (after the mets leave at least)

Gwreck
Jun 10 2006 12:45 AM

Wagner had warmed up so looks like he comes in, despite the fact that it's a non-save situation.

Robert Fick hits a walkoff HR to give Washington the win over the Phillies.

If Wagner comes in I hope he can get himself juiced up for a non-save situation..

LMAO, way to get picked off when you arent even the tying run you shmuck! your ass should be glued to the base there.
