We have to knock Webb down a notch so Glavine can win the Cy Young this year.

Entering tonight Beltran is 3rd in the NL in OPS with a 1.038!
Now the two guys in front of him are injured (Pujols) or playing for a bad team (Bay), is Beltran a serious MVP candidate?

It was just an rbi single, but MK wanted me to use this GIF.

2-0 Mets in the top of the first.

One boom per run.

Wright scores on Valentin's double. 3-0 Mets.

How long can the Diamondbacks blame their slump on Jason Grimsley? I think they're overplaying this angle, IMO.

3-0 is the score at the end of the top of the first.

I forget the game was on and join in with the Mets up 3-0 on one of the NL's best pitchers. Cool.

I do, however, get to see Soler go 1-2-3.

Why do the Mets hit so well at that ballpark? maybe new-shea should be modeled after it, minus the swimming pool.

Why get rid of the pool? Would be an interesting scene in the Queens pool.

How 'bout that play at third?

Nymr83
Jun 10 2006 10:26 PM

the pool will be replaced with a humongous homerun apple!

Guys on WFAN say he was safe.

Soler was shaky in the third, but worked his way out of a jam. Still 3-0 Mets.

The sooner I get to stop hearing Mark Grace, Colorman, the better.

I think a giant Home Run Apple should come out of a big pool.

like a water slide?

I was thinking instead of the apple coming out of a hat, it could rise up out of the water of the pool. The Mets hit a home run and it's suddenly everybody out of the pool before the Big Apple gets them.

that could be scary...i like it!

A pair of Cubans for our pair of Cubans. El Duque and Soler, the new toast of the town.

I love Arizona.

I realize I wouldn't get to many games, but can we just play every game in Phoenix? No, seriously.

Put the best Mets pitching performance of the year in the books!

The brooms are premature-- the baseball gods will be angry.

Get rid of those brooms - there's a game to play tomorrow!

Sorry to have jumped the gun with the brooms.. In my delerium over another great pitching performance and victory by the Mets, I forgot all about tomorrow's game.

Didn't mean to upset the SBS. Now I'm going to be feeling the pressure tomorrow.

you should start the IGT tommorow and make a public apology to the baseball gods.

Rockin' Doc

This game turned out too well after you started the IGT, so you should keep going while your hot. I'll apologize for my indiscretion early in the thread.

my win streak extends only to Soler starts, i'll continue to start his threads if i get the chance, otherwise i'll defer to the undefeatable GWreck!

As expected, Saturday night results in a small IGT. Thanks to those who stuck around and commented on the game.

I'm disappointed I missed Soler's masterpiece. I forgot to set TiVo and I doubt that Fast Forward will capture it. Oh well.
