....search for text in the General Archives? I think an admin mentioned a way to do it with Google a while back, but I can't remember.

Right now, I don't think you can. As much as google spiders this board, I think it's pretty much left the archive folder on getalifealready.com alone. A java search tool is on the cranepoolcompanion to do list, but we're having union problems with the developer and he's on a gold bricking mission to stick it to us until it's resolved.
