Glavine had his worst outing of the season, but the Mets offense bailed him out and allowed him to become the first 9 game winner in MLB. Milledge continues to impress and is making the most of his chance to show what he can do against major league competition.
David wright continues to show he is the best young hitter in baseball. Beltran continues to show why the Mets (and virtually everyone elese) wanted to sign him when he was a free agent following the 2004 season. Valentin continues to surprise. There were many (including myself) that wondered why the Mets were wasting a roster spot on him, but he has become a surprisingly productive player the past few weeks.
Following their series victory over the Dodgers in Chavez Ravine, the Mets travel to Arizona to take on the Diamondbacks.
