Who was that guy wearing #25 for the Mets and what did he do with El Duque? Orlando Hernandez pitched a masterful 3 hit, complete game against his former teammates. The only Arizona run came with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth inning when the outcome of the game was no longer in doubt. Nice to see the bullpen get a well deserved night off.
The Mets got solid performances from role players, Endy Chavez and Jose Valentin. Carlos Beltran continued his hot hand.
Tonight's POTG shall receive a well deserved six pack of Monsoon Lager from the Rio Salado Brewing Co. of Tempe, Arizona.
