Trivia: What do these nine players have in common?

Here's a list of nine Mets, in alphabetical order: David Cone. Shawon Dunston. Lenny Harris. Danny Heep. Orel Hershiser. Felix Millan. Jesse Orosco. Nolan Ryan. George Stone. They all have something in common, something that's unique to them. There's nobody else who is eligible to join the club, although Tom Glavine, Orlando Hernandez, and Eli Marrero have reasons to be hopeful. Can you guess what it is?

I was able to come up with seven of them without looking. The UMDB helped me find the last two. The two I didn't get on my own were Lenny Harris and George Stone.

Other opponent possibilites are Mike Piazza, Armando Benitez, and Kenny Rogers.

Payton is in Oakland. Kenny Rogers is in Detroit. The NL West is wide open, so there's a chance we'll see Piazza or Benitez in October.
