Interesting Fact: George Clinton originally started a doo-wop act in the fifties, called "The Parliaments," (borrowing from cigarette brands commonly offering sophisticated-sounding names for vocal groups). Their transition to funk-monsters was gradual, with the Parliaments' backup band moving forward on the stage, and the Parliaments becoming the band's backup singers.
Interesting Fact: Joe Strummer is the only guy, I think, who sang for two bands in our countdown, having fronted the Clash (Pogues, I meant Pogues --- cursed sharpie) during the Hell's Ditch tour, when Shane MacGowan couldn't answer the bell.

Clash win in a walk over 10-0. I had never voted a straight ticket before, but I'm just not a fan of funk.

The Mothership needs to descend on Shea. To be fair, the Clash are just that good.
