The Mets returned home to Shea riding high from their 9-1 road trip. Then those home wrecking Orioles came in and spoiled the Mets homecoming. Alay Soler again pitched well, but from all indications the Mets forgot their bats in Philadelphia. The Orioles pitchers held the Mets to 4 measly hits.
Our three nominees aside, the rest of of the team did nothing to deserve a cold postgame beer. So we have a a iced six pack of Michael Shea's Irish Amber Lager for the POTG to share with his two friends.
