Good stuff happening in Boston where the Bosox blow a 6-0 lead to the Phils. Game is in the 11th. Bullpen getting plenty of work in anticipation of having to work more against the Mets.

Papelbon's second blown save of the year. I'm certainly glad the Red Sox pen is being taxed but I think simply getting to the bullpen will be the test for the Mets in the 3 games...

Why is it not a good thing? Going into Fenway with two good offensive teams, I'd much rather they have the more tired pen. Hopefully they'll put the Phillies down after a long, draining 18 inning affair.

Phils get one in the top of the 12th and then the Red Sox come back to win with 2 in the bottom of the 12th, game ending on a single by -- who else? -- David Ortiz. Satisfying.

yeah i guess this is a good thing from the perspective that their bullpen is tired now with a rookie going tommorow

This was the kind of thing I wanted last week, when the MFY's played the Phillies - both teams are exhausted and they had to use their travel day to play this marathon. Excellent!

We got the best of both worlds.

AL continues to smack the NL around. Yanx beat Braves Tiggers over Astros Injuns beating sliding Cardinals Only the Marlins hold up their end by beating the DRays Several other games still in progress. And Oregon State wins the College World Series over UNC!!

Wacko thought: If we care enough about the Yankees missing the postseason to root for a Philly/Atlanta/whoever over Yank sweep, then maybe we should root for a Red Sox sweep this week. Weird.
