Icon Question

When I get into the different fora, I notice that the bell shaped icon to the left of some of the threads is colored in (orange?). I think that means there are new posts in the thread. Some of those icons are just the outline, but seem to be pulsing. What does that mean? I'm guessing it means they have been actively viewed but no new posts since I was there before. Is that right, or do I need to get my glasses checked? Later
