NY Mets

Edgy DC Jul 01 2006 01:20 PM |
I dial up Mets.com every day and they show the highlight from the previous day's game.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:22 PM |
Nady-yay!
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:24 PM |
I saw that highlight, and to me it looked like with a lil agressiveness that bloop/drive couldnt have been snagged.
Edgy DC Jul 01 2006 01:26 PM |
Having a bench of two unavailable guys and whoever isn't playing second is sort of awkward. Maybe we should have sent for some Virginian help for this series.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:26 PM |
I went out on a limb with Trachsel earlier this season (i wont repeat it now), and Im climbin back out on it now---uh-oh--it feels kinda shakey--but Im out there.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 01:27 PM |
I was watching the World Cup and I almost forgot about the Mets game.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 01:28 PM |
Oh, and base hit for Reyes.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:28 PM |
tru--this series did not set up well in any instance, from bench to mound. But its just one a those interleague bullshit games-who cares-right? Reyes leads off with a single to right.
Edgy DC Jul 01 2006 01:28 PM |
...equalling yesterday's hit output.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 01:30 PM |
I already like today's Mets more than yesterday's.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:30 PM |
LoDuke does his thang-
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:31 PM |
..............yesterday is dead to me.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 01:34 PM |
There's the REAL David Wright!
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:34 PM |
Beltran swings at the only pitch that would result in a non productive at bat-hi heat for an infield pop out.
Edgy DC Jul 01 2006 01:34 PM |
...exceeding yesterday's run output.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:35 PM |
Mr Franco does alotta jawing with the umps.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 01:36 PM |
Dear Tim.
Edgy DC Jul 01 2006 01:37 PM |
Just not a very good one.

Dammit. Portugal beats England in PKs.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:44 PM |
Nice play by Trax--WHAT!???
Edgy DC Jul 01 2006 01:45 PM |
C'mon, Willie, Trachsel is looking for you to argue.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:46 PM |
AWWWW---COMON BLU!!!!!awful call
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:47 PM |
UGH--and umpires interference keep castro from catching a foul pop---what the hells goin on here!?????
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 01:48 PM |
Hah. After the ump boxes out Castro, Giambi takes strike 3 and Damon gets thrown out running by a mile.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:49 PM |
HA! Mets with a strike em out throw em out DP.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:54 PM |
Whats the point of the diatrabe comparing Posada and Mauers batting averages?
Zvon Jul 01 2006 01:57 PM |
Woodward does his job--makes Randy look like a spazz.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 02:12 PM |
I guess Randy found his slider. Suxx.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 02:15 PM |
Nice play by Jeter, and McCarver turns into a vacuum cleaner.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 02:23 PM |
McCarver turned into a broken record,....a loong loong time ago. Trax in some trouble as he gives up back to back singles to Damon and Jeter to start the 3rd. I like watching Trachsel get out a these fixes.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 02:24 PM |
You think they used ultimatemets for the trivia question?
Zvon Jul 01 2006 02:25 PM |
Ugh--he walks Giambi.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 02:26 PM |
Put Duaner in.

First player to play for both the Yankees and Mets.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 02:30 PM Edited 1 time(s), most recently on Jul 01 2006 02:31 PM |
Skanks tie it as Posada grounds into the DP.
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 02:30 PM |
Posada gets doubled off which is good, but the tying run scores which is bad.

Kool. I heard something last night about Marv being one of the few players to snap a 13 game losing streak with a walkoff--back in '62 with the Mets. I think thats what they were sayin, anyway.......
Zvon Jul 01 2006 02:35 PM |
Randy wants nothing to do with David Wright.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 02:36 PM |
Zvon Jul 01 2006 02:37 PM |
Mr Franco keeps it going with a smack single to left.
SteveJRogers Jul 01 2006 02:38 PM |
Wasn't Gene Woodling with the club first? OE: No he wasn't... Never mind
Zvon Jul 01 2006 02:39 PM |
Quick Quiz::::....whos running to 1st in the Marv card?
Zvon Jul 01 2006 02:45 PM |
Im surprized i dont have a Woodling card.
TheOldMole Jul 01 2006 02:51 PM |
Yanks have completely given up hitting the cutoff man.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 02:53 PM |

Screw the enter the Sandman debate - I take offense that Eunich was allowed to wear 41 in New York.

CBS Sportsline isnt a bad way to watch--if you have to and dont mind reading the game. Its amazingly quick time wise (most of the time) Game is on FOX. Trachsel with 74 pitches thru 4. How many do we get out of him?
TransMonk Jul 01 2006 03:08 PM |
And they trot him back out there...if this were the NL, Randy would have been done after 4.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 03:14 PM |
Those airodynamic helmets make tagging attempting base stealers out too easy.
A Boy Named Seo Jul 01 2006 03:20 PM |
Thanks, Z. I've moved on to France/Brazil. Go Mets.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 03:27 PM |
Nice inning for Trax in the 5th.

Zvon Jul 01 2006 03:55 PM |
I didnt like the look of that play off the mound at all.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 03:57 PM |
Heilman will take the mound.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 04:02 PM |
Jeter hits into the Pepsid double play!
Zvon Jul 01 2006 04:14 PM |

Gameday has this to say -
This isn't good - do we have any idea how serious this is?
OlerudOwned Jul 01 2006 04:23 PM |

Trachsel himself said he was fine. He was nearing his limit anyway, so the sided with caution. He should be fine.
Zvon Jul 01 2006 04:29 PM |
what you posted there is actually the 1st Ive heard of a groin problem.
Reports from Fox on TV say he's fine and dandy.

seawolf17 Jul 01 2006 07:30 PM |
I really used to like Tim McCarver, but he needs to just shut the hell up. He remarked today that the Yankees "have had more than their share" of injuries.
Edgy DC Jul 01 2006 10:59 PM |
One of the Yankee play-by-play man set Leiter up with a puffball yesterday. Going from memory...
Johnny Dickshot Jul 02 2006 12:48 AM |
Anyone see Raissman's column Friday? (maybe I saw it here).
Zvon Jul 02 2006 12:55 AM |
Cant say I have JD. I still like Tim, but in the same way I would like an old senile relative.
