The only good thing about this series is that it's mercifully over. Glavine gave the Mets five strong innings, but the Red Sox finally got to him in the sixth inning. Then it became a battle of the bullpens, which the Mets lost.
The Mets have probably never been happier to head into the Bronx than they are after this series. Our sponsor was gracious enough to load the Mets team bus with Harpoon I.P.A. to help make the ride back to New York more bearable.
Oh yeah, I hate this crap now.
