New York Mets
metirish Jul 19 2006 07:15 PM |
Lets go Mets, Lo Duca on with a single and a ground double from Beltran sends Paul to 3rd.
metirish Jul 19 2006 07:17 PM |
Keith thinks Harang is tipping some of his pitches.......

Wrights da Man!
Yancy Street Gang Jul 19 2006 07:23 PM |
Delgado strikes out with runners on second and third (what's wrong with him lately?) but Wright bails him out with a two-run double.
Iubitul Jul 19 2006 07:33 PM |
Remember - he's having the same season as A-Rod....
Zvon Jul 19 2006 07:34 PM |
I dunno- its really tuff to see him letting these opportunities go to waste. He's got good production numbers, aside from his B.A.slipping down, but he'd be having a monster year if he was a bit more consistant and took advantage of what the tablesetters have given him. Im sure he'll come around.
Iubitul Jul 19 2006 07:36 PM |
The longer he slumps, the more pain for the team that faces him when he comes out of it.
metirish Jul 19 2006 07:39 PM |
Damn that Reyes is good, he plates two for a four zip lead...
Johnny Dickshot Jul 19 2006 07:39 PM |
I could be spacing big-time, but was Traxxxx's pickoff of Freel in the first the first Met pickoff of the year?
seawolf17 Jul 19 2006 07:40 PM |
Willie talked a bit about Delgado's slump on M&MD (well, just "M") today. I guess Delgado "knows what he's doing wrong," but he's just having a hard time putting the pieces together. Which means iubitul is right.
Zvon Jul 19 2006 07:40 PM |
HAhaaaaa---I like that one. Yea,--they say a career .280 hitter will end up hitting around .280 by seasons end, so that should be quite a tear hes gonna go on soon.
Iubitul Jul 19 2006 07:44 PM |
Beltran juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust missed that one...
Zvon Jul 19 2006 07:46 PM |
To the Kansas City Royals for 2B Ruben Gotay.
metirish Jul 19 2006 07:46 PM |
Delgado whiffs again, maybe a few nights off might help.
Zvon Jul 19 2006 07:47 PM |
Delgado wiffs---meh--

Don't even think those two together! It tarnishes Mr. Wright more than that faith healer does!
ScarletKnight41 Jul 19 2006 07:53 PM |
Crap - it rains for 30 seconds and they start putting the tarp on the field.
ScarletKnight41 Jul 19 2006 07:58 PM |
Rain Delay Theater - a rebroadcast of the game from September 21, 2001 (the first game after 9/11).

Yancy Street Gang Jul 19 2006 08:31 PM |
Why does it always seem to rain when Trachsel pitches? After he retires he can make a living barnstorming through drought areas.
Iubitul Jul 19 2006 08:42 PM |
The rain has stopped, but there is a lot of water on the field. No start time yet, but it looks like the game will resume...
Iubitul Jul 19 2006 08:43 PM |
Because it does....
Gwreck Jul 19 2006 08:43 PM |
No, I think you're right.
ScarletKnight41 Jul 19 2006 08:46 PM |
With a 4-0 lead, we'll wait as long as we need to wait.
dinosaur jesus Jul 19 2006 09:02 PM |
I'm watching the game in Ohio. The rain is pooled up on the warning track, and they're digging up the mud with shovels and a backhoe. It seems never to have occurred to the builders of the Great American Ballpark that some sort of drainage system ought to be in place. It certainly looks like they'll be playing, but we could have some slippery fun on balls hit to the wall.
ScarletKnight41 Jul 19 2006 09:04 PM |
As they're working on the field, Gary Cohen observes that it isn't raining anywhere else in the country other than in Cincinnati.
Johnny Dickshot Jul 19 2006 09:26 PM |
Jeezus. I barely recalled Ken Caminiti finished with the Braves that year. Just made a nice play to end the 4th. He'd start the steroid whistleblowing and be dead in three years.
Iubitul Jul 19 2006 10:01 PM |
OMG - we miss Liza, and we miss MIke's home run....

All hail the Goddess! Welcome to the pool.
Rockin' Doc Jul 19 2006 10:25 PM |
The Human Rain Delay must not like long delays between innings. He walks the damn pitcher on four pitches to load the bases with 2 outs.
Rockin' Doc Jul 19 2006 10:26 PM |
Whew.
Johnny Dickshot Jul 19 2006 10:27 PM |
Traxxx is the best. He's just like you and me if we were tall guys with hangdog expressions.
Rockin' Doc Jul 19 2006 10:31 PM |
In one of the early beer polls, I linked to an article discussing Trachsels love of beer. That makes him alright in my book.

Two quick Cincy hits put the Reds on the board in the 4th.
ScarletKnight41 Jul 19 2006 10:55 PM |
Crap! It's now 4-3, with a Reds runner on 2nd and only one out :(
Rockin' Doc Jul 19 2006 10:58 PM |
Darren Oliver on to face Dunn.
Johnny Dickshot Jul 19 2006 11:05 PM |
Trax lost something after the long delay.
ScarletKnight41 Jul 19 2006 11:05 PM |
Whew! Oliver gets out of the 4th, stranding the two inherited runners.
Zvon Jul 19 2006 11:08 PM |
Mets need some more runs here-

Johnny Dickshot Jul 19 2006 11:12 PM |
We also have to get crackalackin if we're to match the (thus far) 21-page game thread[/a] from our Porkopolis counterparts.

I see some beer in Olivers future.
Rockin' Doc Jul 19 2006 11:15 PM |
Damn, I miised the home run. That's going to cost Mr. Oliverr. I hope he wasn't too thirsty.

Johnny Dickshot Jul 19 2006 11:18 PM |
Where's Rogers? He's good for a little post racking.
SteveJRogers Jul 19 2006 11:19 PM |
Up to 19 on MOFO, but they are a consistant bunch over there
Rockin' Doc Jul 19 2006 11:21 PM |
Those guys have over 620 posts in the IGT and it's only in the 6th inning. I'll say this for them, they are prolific.
SteveJRogers Jul 19 2006 11:22 PM |
MOFO or Redszone?
Edgy DC Jul 19 2006 11:22 PM Edited 1 time(s), most recently on Jul 19 2006 11:23 PM |
We haven't been scouting for new poster prospects. We've got a more veteran lineup than the 2006 Norfolk Tides.
SteveJRogers Jul 19 2006 11:23 PM |
Course alot of that could be just a bunch of off topic conversations between posters, especially with a rain delay
Zvon Jul 19 2006 11:23 PM |
Ha--- i mean eyecurappa!
SteveJRogers Jul 19 2006 11:24 PM |
Not for lack of trying, I've been promoting CPF in every "Other Team Boards" threads I notice!
OlerudOwned Jul 19 2006 11:24 PM |
Double play, that's no fun.

Rockin' Doc Jul 19 2006 11:24 PM |

SteveJRogers Jul 19 2006 11:26 PM |
MOFO has about 23 right now
Rockin' Doc Jul 19 2006 11:26 PM |
I just realized the Redzone has more posters viewing their IGT than we have posts in ours.
Zvon Jul 19 2006 11:26 PM |
Hey-the CPF is the place to be.
Johnny Dickshot Jul 19 2006 11:27 PM |
We should have an amatuer draft.
SteveJRogers Jul 19 2006 11:27 PM |
Well at least we are outclassing these guys right now
Johnny Dickshot Jul 19 2006 11:28 PM |
Shame, 3 baserunners so far this inning, nothing on the board.
Zvon Jul 19 2006 11:29 PM |
Chavez to pinch hit with two aboard-2 out.
Johnny Dickshot Jul 19 2006 11:30 PM |
Don't wish to compete with other Met fans. They're on our side.

Iubitul Jul 19 2006 11:36 PM |

I think we need a ruling on this, but I think you shouldn't be allowed to appear in the ninth ;-)
SteveJRogers Jul 19 2006 11:37 PM |
Reading RedZone's HOF threads make me want one for that place. Anything is better than that closet we have now!
Edgy DC Jul 19 2006 11:38 PM |
Hey, Aaron, welcome back.

BTW, I'm no Iubitul but I snapped a pretty one of the crane with the Old Glory on top during the Yankee series' Sunday night game, with the evening sky and everything. Cute. Its on my laptop, but if I do my AP-New Shea In Progress thread, thats picture 1

Diana is the goddess of the hunt.
