Predictions: Who's staying and who's going, 2006 edition

Because this received such a lukewarm response last year, it's time to do it again! I'm going to list the names of ten players who are currently in the Mets organization. For each player, give a number, from 0 to 10, indicating how likely you think it is that he'll still be Mets property on Opening Day, 2007. (He doesn't have to be on the active roster. If he's in the minors or on the DL, it still counts as being present.) If you think a player is definitely not returning, vote 0. Definitely returning, vote 10. For every player who does return, your score will be the number you assigned to him. For every player who's gone by Opening Day, your score will be 10 minus your number. Example: You think Player A is unlikely to return, but you think there's a slight possibility that he will, so you give him a 3. If he does return, you were pretty wrong, so you only get 3 points. If he doesn't, you were mostly right, so you get 7. A perfect score is 100. To get it you have to vote 0 or 10 for every player, and be correct every time. You can guarantee yourself a wishy-washy 50 by voting 5 for every player. Rumors may start swirling as we get closer to August 31, so the sooner you vote the more pure your guess will be. Voting will be closed once one of the ten departs, or August 31, whichever comes first. Bannister, Brian -- 8 (definitely need him) Delgado, Carlos -- 10 (too pricy to trade, especially if his BA numbers don't improve) Floyd, Cliff -- 0 (his contract is up, he doesn't want to ride the bench. Glavine, Tom -- 2 (slight chance he'll go off to Atlanta, but most likely will win #300 in orange and blue) Heilman, Aaron -- 5 (his value is low right now, and might go in some deal) Hernandez, Orlando -- 5 (depends on how he holds up. If he wins a few games in the postseason, then it goes up to 8) Maine, John -- 7 (will probably keep him, but not if a great deal comes along) Milledge, Lastings -- 10 (don't want another Kazmir, and he'll replace Floyd) Trachsel, Steve -- 9 (10 and 5) Valentin, Jose -- 8 (Most likely will resign, but you never know.)

Bannister, Brian 8 (definite maybe A/O 8/31) Delgado, Carlos 10 Floyd, Cliff 0 (I dunno, is there a 365 day DL?) Glavine, Tom 8 (The Mets look better to him in his quest for 300 wins than Atlanta does. And Atlanta seems to be the only other option he would consider) Heilman, Aaron 8 (somebody up there likes him, but not in the way he would prefer.) Hernandez, Orlando 4 (Let's see how much of his playoff magic he still retains) Maine, John 10 Milledge, Lastings 10 (you said in the organization, so I guess that means the player could be in the minors) Trachsel, Steve 5 (you could take a tough PR hit for not renewing a Cy Young winner.) Valentin, Jose 4 (He could be the next Marlon Anderson - played so well that he was attractive to other teams. So the Mets might not be able to retain him for less money than he could get elsewhere.) Orlando Hernandez got a lot of zeroes in this game. More of a mixed bag for Valentin.
