What's Going On In Australia?

http://www.google.com/trends is a new Google service that will tell you what parts of the world do the most googling of any phrase you care to type in. I found this out from Sports Illustrated, which informed me, among other things, that "Nude volleyball" is googled more in Salt Lake City than anywhere else.

So I tried a few of my own, and ran into some surprising trends.

Might the time you have checked made a difference?

The good news is all those Australian beauties could be moving here.
I saw a news item a few days ago that said that Australia is getting overrun by a species of killer frogs (toads?). They have no known natural enemies and are slowly closing in on the city of Brisbane. Their bite is deadly and their bodies contain a toxic venom and anything that eats them (e.g.- snakes) dies.

EDIT: The bad news is that they'll probably move to Southern California and become LA fans.

Stay tuned.

Now we know what Steve Irwin does while not wrestling crocs.

Crikey!

Do frogs bite people? I remember catching toads when I was a kid, and their only defense is to pee on your hand.

I think that as long as you don't eat the poison amphibians, you have nothing to worry about.

Looks like they can't kill you with their bite:

disappointing, the idea of killer toads running rampant is kinda funny.

maybe "Cane Toads" could be a minor league baseball team? it would make for a cool logo and some nasty mascots.

It looks like the Mets are more popular than the MFY in Estonia, France, Belgium, and India: http://www.google.com/trends?q=mets%2Cyankees

You're right. I wouldn't want MY kid to hug it.
