Yes, we did but the Police are eligible to re-challenge. See the Who vs. Zeppelin post.

How'd that happen?
metirish Jul 29 2006 10:13 PM |
I don't know, i used to like them but over the years I got sick of hearing the songs, i think Sting has a lot to do with that...I really don't like the guy.
cooby Jul 29 2006 10:45 PM |
I saw a movie many many years ago with a young Sting playing a houseguest and he seduces the family's teenage daughter. Really really creepy stuff.

Sting follows us around. He clearly markets his stuff to be played in retail environments. He has enough leftover marketable coolness to make you feel hip for shopping at Bed, Bath, & Beyond or some fallen place, but makes music without a single subversive note. Ican'tstanditforanotherday!! well, they'd have blown everybody's minds, including your'n. He shouldn't have left that Irish wife of his for Trudy, that's for sure.

Well, perhaps to replace "Every Breath You Take."
Willets Point Aug 01 2006 12:03 PM |
Someone tally this one up.
Johnny Dickshot Aug 01 2006 12:15 PM |
Only 5 votes.

A bad BLC....
seawolf17 Aug 01 2006 02:48 PM |
Because Nick Cave blows.
Willets Point Aug 01 2006 02:55 PM |
Then vote against him and close this thing off.
seawolf17 Aug 01 2006 03:07 PM |
I hate doing this.

Nick Caves in to the Police
soupcan Aug 01 2006 04:28 PM |
Huzzah!
metirish Aug 01 2006 08:57 PM |
I think I should retire Nick Cave and Thin Lizzy, can I do that, I'll go with the Cure and may introduce a new band.
Willets Point Aug 01 2006 09:59 PM |
I don't see why not. Do you want to leave them where they lie or delete them entirely.
metirish Aug 01 2006 10:00 PM |
I guess delete them so as to not confuse things, I mean not that it's confusing ..ahh you know what I mean.
Edgy DC Aug 02 2006 03:31 AM |
Leave 'em right where they be, say I.
Willets Point Aug 02 2006 09:39 AM |
Pray tell why? If you leave them there, they will be challenged leading to crappy challenges like this one. If everyone decides not to challenge them they'll be at an artificially high spot on the ladder.
sharpie Aug 02 2006 10:19 AM |
As long as everyone adheres to the "challenge a band you yourself are familiar with" rule then I don't think we should delete any bands. I personally think that Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds are one of the top 100 bands and should be accorded that status. The less-known bands will never rank that high anyway.
Edgy DC Aug 02 2006 10:22 AM |
I'll defend with the Seeds if he doesn't want to.
sharpie Aug 02 2006 10:55 AM |
So would I. I couldn't do Thin Lizzie, though.
metirish Aug 02 2006 10:56 AM |
Jeez all the love now for Nick....I'll keep him.
Rockin' Doc Aug 02 2006 12:42 PM |
Yeah, where were all his supporters when he needed votes.
