Now that's more like it. Better to win 1-0, than score 6 or 7 runs and lose, any day. John Maine locked up with the Cubs Mark Prior in a pitching duel and matched him pitch for pitch. I'm actually starting to believe in Maine.

The Mets offense finally break through by beating up on former Mets hand, Glendon "2112" Rusch. The Mets mounted a 2 out rally that started with a Carlos Beltran single to center. Then Carlos Delgado moved him to third with his double to left. After an intentional walk to David Wright, Jose "I Get No Respect" Valentin delivered the game winner with a single to center.

Today's game was sponsored by the Broadway Brewing Company of Denver Colorado. The Mets hung tough in this game and just wouldn't let this game go, so a case of Flying Dog Tire Bite Golden Ale for all to enjoy.

No Mets game today, so you might as well cast your vote for this game.
