If The Mets Can't Get a Jewish Outfielder

they are trying to get one named after a Jewish patriarch.

John Heyman just reported on WFAN Radio (5:30 PM) that Omar is in negotiations with SF to get Moises Alou. . Heyman said Omar prefers Alou because he has a higher SLG pct than Shawn Green, "who is fading" and the money is less. The holdup is how quickly the SF GM feels his team is "out of the race"

Some thoughts:
The Mets have wandered in the NL wilderness for 20 years. Can he perform a miracle and lead them to the promised land?

Another holdup will be deciding who will be the designated hand shaker when he joins the team.
