Who's doing the game with Kay?,if Kaat is in the booth he at least is very good,but if it's Murcer and Singelton it's terrible,and it gets worse when Paul O'Neill is there calling the players by their nicknames.

Actually, Singleton is the best of that bunch (when Jim Kaat isn't there to do color). He has a good voice, and clearly tells you what is happening on the field with no histrionics, pet phrases or nicknames. He is a very professional sportscaster, unless drawn into weird discussions by his booth mates. For some stupid reason, I promised myself that today is the one day of the year that I wouldn't go off on a rant about Kay. And its gnawing at me. EDIT: WP, that was quite a memorable scene, wasn't it? Later

I'm back to hating the Tigers again following a brief respite last night. Every time I watch them they suck; every time I see their lineup and say WTF? (you can't win anything starting Neifi Perez); and whenever I see their vaunted pitching staff in action someone on it - say Jeremy Bonderman for instance - is in the process of giving up 12 hits and numerous walks to the Yanquis in just 5 innings. 6-2 in the 7th. The big Eunuch has a 2-hitter (both HRs) and ARod has a single, double & HR (Jeter must have inspired him)

An A-bomb from A-Rod STFU, John Sterling made it 5-2 Yanks. And on radio, Georgie's Girl made it a point to say that "On the top step of the dugout, leading the cheers, was Derek (pause) Jeter". Gee, I wish the Mets had a Captain like him. Where's that bucket when you need it? Later

Wow! The Phillies took a 4-2 lead into the 9th. Washington tied it in the bottom of the inning. Phillie retakes the lead 5-4 in the top of the 10th, only to lose the game 6-5 in the bottom of the inning. That has to be demoralizing for them.
